Founded by Martin, a lifelong Londoner with a passion for food from field to fork, the site offers honest restaurant reviews, tested home recipes, and guided foodie walking tours through one of London’s most prestigious dining neighbourhoods.

Meet Martin, The Mayfair Foodie

Hi, I’m Martin, the Mayfair Foodie.

I was born in London and have seen the city develop into one of the world’s food capitals. With so many foodies like me, the UK has a vibrant and diverse food scene that is an exciting place to explore.

My love of food was evident from a very early age. When I was 18 months old, my parents took me on holiday to Rimini in Italy. My mom packed a suitcase full of Heinz baby foods, convinced I would not like the local cuisine. However, I tucked into pasta and gelato, and the Heinz baby food was repacked and taken home.

From then on, I was hooked on food. I love everything about it, from field to fork.

As a foodie, I have always wanted to do something connected with the hospitality industry. That’s why I created The Mayfair Foodie, a website and walking tours that champion the fantastic restaurants, bars, and pubs of Mayfair, an area of London that is close to my heart.
