1 Novikov

If you are after glitz and glamour, Novikov is the place for you, with two restaurants and a cocktail bar. Upstairs is the Asian restaurant, which offers late-night dining and the most amazing fish counter display. Downstairs, they are transported to the Amalfi coast in Italy. It feels like you are in a courtyard restaurant; it is beautiful. The food at Novikov more than matches the decor in this upmarket restaurant.

2 Mary’s

Jason Atherton’s recently opened Mary’s in Pollen Street is perfect venue for a great Christmas party.  The informal, inclusive restaurant offers a menu to suit all tastes, with meats and fish cooked on the wood grill and plenty of fine dining options, including a vegetarian and vegan menu. Also, the Blind Pig bar in front of Mary’s is the place to have pre-dinner drinks or to continue the party afterwards. The good news is that cocktails start at £12, an excellent value for Mayfair.

3 Piccolino’s

Piccolino’s is a large Italian restaurant in one of my favourite areas of Mayfair, Heddon Street. It offers a classic Italian menu with a twist. To complement the food, there is an excellent wine list and a range of classic cocktails.

The private dining area in the basement is ideal for large parties, and Piccolino will even provide a DJ to keep the party going.

4 sketch London

sketch is one of the most iconic restaurant venues in London. You might not know that sketch has many party options, including two cocktail bars, the glade and the parlour bar, the Gallery restaurant and the East bar. Also, if your party is a little more sedate, the Lecture room and Library are home to a three-star restaurant. I should mention that sketch is famous for its seasonal displays in the grand entrance and the Christmas display is the highlight of the year.

5 Kanishka by Atul Kochhar

Spice up your Christmas party celebrations at Atul Kochhar’s Kanishka celebration of Indian cuisine. The food is exceptional, served in a stunning dining room. If you do visit Kanishka, I recommend the Chicken Tikka pie—it’s delicious.

6 The Chesterfield

Downstairs is the lively Chesterfield pub in Shepherd Market, but venture upstairs, and you will enter a classic dining room. High ceilings with wood-panelled walls set the scene. The restaurant has an upstairs bar. The food is classic British beautifully presented; Beef Wellington is the Chesterfield signature dish, I can vouch for how good it is.

7 The White Horse

The White Horse is a wine bar between Piccadilly and Shepherd Market on White Horse Lane. It is part of the Hedonism wine group, so the wine list is exceptional. The bar also serves beers and cocktails. What about the food? Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dubious created the food menu to match the quality of the wine.

8 Ruya Mayfair

This upmarket  Turkish restaurant on Grosvenor Street is the ideal setting for a party. The large bar area specialises in creating its signature range of stunning cocktails.

The food is classic Turkish cuisine beautifully presented. In the centre of the restaurant is a feature bread oven, which bakes a selection of Pide breads.

The restaurant has several large parties and private dining options ideal office Christmas parties.
