My Favourite cocktail by George Dean General Manager the Barley Mow
We asked George Deane of the pub & restaurant Barley Mow, Duke Street, Mayfair to give us his favorite cocktail;
“My Fav Cocktail is our London Negroni. A simple cocktail but put together by using all British produce and distilled in a barrel on our bar. I’m proud of the flavour and the way all the spirits are distilled locally. It’s the best of British which is how I explain my pub.”
If you have not been before the Barley Mow is a traditional British pub with a lovely warm and cosy feel, serving excellent bar snacks. Upstairs the mood changes to a silver-service restaurant serving British classics. When you are next in Mayfair pop in to see George & the team, and maybe try a London Negroni or two.
I love the description of a Negroni taken from the book “Taste” by Stanley Tucci, to me, it sums up the Negroni perfectly & exactly the feeling I get when I have one.
“The sun is now in your stomach”
Thanks very much George for your time today & we love the The Barley Mow twist on the Negroni
