Mayfair is home to 22 Michelin-starred restaurants in 2026, making it one of London’s most prestigious fine dining destinations. The neighbourhood features three restaurants with three Michelin stars (Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, and sketch), as well as multiple two-star establishments, including Gymkhana, The Ritz, and the newly promoted Row on 5. Following the February 2026 Michelin Guide ceremony in Dublin, Jason Atherton’s Row on 5 on Savile Row was elevated to two stars just one year after receiving its first, while Bonheur by Matt Abé entered the guide with two stars at the iconic former Le Gavroche site on Upper Brook Street. New one-star additions in Mayfair include Somssi at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair and Labombe by Trivet on Park Lane. From acclaimed French fine dining to Michelin-starred Indian cuisine at Jamavar, Benares and Veeraswamy, Mayfair offers an exceptional range of starred restaurants across cuisines including Japanese, Spanish, Chinese and modern European.
Updated February 2026
The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2026 ceremony took place in Dublin on 9th February, bringing exciting news for Mayfair’s fine dining scene. Two local restaurants earned two-star status – Row on 5 climbed from one to two stars, while Bonheur by Matt Abé entered straight in at two stars just three months after opening. Meanwhile, Ambassadors Clubhouse and Labombe by Trivet both picked up their first stars, further cementing Mayfair’s position as London’s most decorated dining destination.

It’s also worth mentioning that Mayfair is also home to many other incredible restaurants. There is something for everybody, from fantastic Traditional Fish and chips to cuisines from every corner of the world to some of the most iconic & famous restaurants in London. 3 sketch, London

sketch London was born from a creative friendship between Mazouz and French chef Pierre Gagnaire. Together, they opened the space as a destination for experimentation, taking over a 1779 building designed by James Wyatt in 2003
The 3-star restaurant serves tasting menus only, and the food is every bit as ambitious as the famous sketch decor, which is like no other in London or possibly the world. It also probably has the unique distinction of having the most talked about toilets in any restaurant. The egg-shaped pods really need to be seen.

6 Row on 5
Jason Atherton’s flagship restaurant on the iconic Savile Row has rocketed from one star to two in just over a year. This collaboration between Atherton and executive chef Spencer Metzger is now firmly among the capital’s culinary elite. Spencer Metzger, former head chef at The Ritz and winner of the 2019 Roux Scholarship, leads the kitchen with a 15-course tasting menu served across three acts, with guests moving between the lounge and main dining room. The Michelin inspectors were particularly struck by the Inverness langoustine served several ways, noting the superbly luxurious experience backed up by serious depth and quality.

7 Bonheur by Matt Abé (Entered at 2 Stars)
In a remarkable achievement, Bonheur was awarded two Michelin stars just three months after opening. Chef Matt Abé had shown his credentials time and again during 18 years with Gordon Ramsay, latterly as chef-patron at the three-star Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea. Taking over the former Le Gavroche site on Upper Brook Street – one of the most iconic and influential restaurants in British history – Abé has created something distinctly his own. Bonheur doesn’t hold back on showing off Abé’s style of cooking; his dishes are light and modern, backed up by outstanding classical technique, with the sauce-making alone a testament to his talent.

8 Ambassadors Clubhouse (New)
London’s reputation as one of the greatest cities for Indian cuisine shows no sign of slowing, with this opulent and joyful restaurant on Heddon Street earning its first star. From the JKS group behind Gymkhana and Trishna, chef Shantilal Bhushan presides over an enticing menu of boldly flavoured dishes taking inspiration from Punjabi recipes. The lavishly furnished, no-expense-spared setting takes its cues from the “party mansions” of the former undivided Punjab, with soft lighting, wood panelling and colourful décor – gold tables, mirrored walls and sparkling chandeliers paired with patterned carpets.

9 Labombe by Trivet (New)
Chef Jonny Lake and co-owner and sommelier Isa Bal, the team behind two-star Trivet in Bermondsey, have opened Labombe with Michelin-star quality. Situated in the corner of the COMO Metropolitan hotel with its own separate entrance, this wine bar and restaurant is a breath of fresh air for the Mayfair dining scene. Head chef Evan Moore, a Fat Duck alumnus, offers a more relaxed dining experience than its sibling, focusing on wine and European-style plates. The eclectic cuisine ranges from snacks like hot tongue bun to classics like pâté en croûte and dishes cooked over fire – cooking devoid of fuss and packed with flavour.

10 Somssi by Jihun Kim (New)
Tucked below stairs at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, this intimate 14-seat counter restaurant has earned its first star for chef Jihun Kim’s immaculately crafted dishes. The cooking fuses a Korean foundation with French touches while celebrating excellent British produce. The windowless setting matters little when your attention rarely wanders from what is placed in front of you, and the enthusiasm of the chefs behind the counter as they explain each dish is palpable. With just one 7pm seating per day (plus a Saturday lunch option), it’s an exclusive experience where Korean flavours find their way onto your palate in the most unassuming and refined ways.

12 Hide
Hide is a restaurant and bar by Hedonism Wines and Ollie Dabbous. Set over three floors, flooded with natural daylight and enjoying stunning views across Green Park

Hide proudly boasts the most extensive European wine list, as you would expect from the team at Hedonism wines. A little-known fact is that if you struggle to find the wine of choice on the wine list (which is unlikely as there are over 800 bottles in the wine cellar), you can also access the wines in the Hedonism store. They will be brought over from the short walk from Davies Street to the Piccadilly restaurant, which I call service.

17 Veeraswamy

London’s oldest surviving Indian restaurant may have opened in 1926, but it’s always full of life. The traditionally attired doorman sets the tone for the restaurant, which is decorated in a subtle yet colourful style with a 1920s theme. The menu features dishes from many regions across India, using local chefs from each region to replicate the taste. Also, Veeraswamy uses local British ingredients to add subtle flavour combinations to established dishes. There is no doubt that although it is a very well-established restaurant, the menu is pushing the boundaries in showcasing the very best Indian cookery in the heart of Mayfair.
The Hyderabadi lamb biryani has been on the menu since opening day & you can look forward to seasonal changes on the menu.
