1. Hundred Hills Hillside No 3 2019

Hundred Hills Hillside No 3 2019 is a vintage, traditional-method sparkling wine produced at the Hundred Hills estate in Oxfordshire. Hundred Hills has emerged as one of the most promising quality-orientated English sparkling wine producers of recent years. Working with a commitment to sustainability with minimal interference in the winery, it produces its exemplary range of sparkling wines entirely from estate-grown fruit in the Stonor Valley close to Henley. Hillside No 3 is produced from late-harvested Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from across Hundred Hills` south-facing vineyard parcels.

2. Vassaltis Assyrtiko 2022

White Wine, Santorini Greece. £40.70

Vassaltis Assyrtiko 2022 is a single-variety white wine produced from the Assyrtiko grape on the volcanic island of Santorini Greece. Salty with concentrated citrus fruits and a focused minerality, this is a rich, layered Assyrtiko with notes of white peach, stone fruits, lemon, wet stone and a hint of spice. The perfect accompaniment to grilled fish and richer shellfish dishes.

3. Albarino A Pedreira Fulcro 2022

‘A Pedreira’ is the flagship offering from Bodegas Fulcro, a Galician winery founded in 2009 by Manuel Moldes Marana. Crafted through a meticulous process involving stainless-steel tanks and seasoned 500L wooden barrels, this Albariño boasts an engaging, refined texture. Expect delicate hints of white fruits and florals, accompanied by a vibrant undercurrent of zesty lime and saline accents.

Alkemi Xinomavro Rose 2022 

 Rose, Nauossa, Greece. £21.50 

Based in Náoussa, Greece, Markovitis is a family-owned winery currently led by Marcos Markovitis. Formely known as Château Pegasus, Markovitis was one of the first producers in Greece to practice organic viticulture. This exquisite rosé is made from the Xinomavro grape, using the saignée method. It is a well-structured and spicy wine, boasting notes of pink grapefruit, herbs and floral elements. A must-try.

4. Barbera d`Alba Vajra 2023

Red Piedmont Italy. £23.00

Vajra Barbera d`Alba 2023 is a medium- to full-bodied Barbera red wine from the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Based in Vergne, the highest village in the commune of Barolo, GD Vajra was established by Aldo Vajra in 1972. Aldo was one of the early pioneers of organic viticulture in the Barolo region and his family estate has a solid reputation for crafting very high-quality Barolo wines. This 2023 Barbera from the estate is youthful and vibrant with a captivating blend of dark fruits mingling with subtle floral notes.

5. Au Bon Climat Bien Nacido Pinot Noir 2020

Red California. £45.00

Au Bon Climat Bien Nacido Pinot Noir 2020 is a single-vineyard red wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes in the Santa Maria Valley of California. This historic, ocean-influenced vineyard sits next to the Au Bon Climat winery in the Santa Maria Valley. Bien Nacido Pinot Noir is noted for its bright aromatics of cranberry, red cherry, rose hip and earthy spice. Au Bon Climat was founded by the late Jim Clendenen in 1982 and continues to produce hugely popular Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from a variety of sites around California’s Central Coast. The wines of ABC, from the most accessible Classics series to the long-aged Blue series, seem to find a perfect balance between Old World restraint and New World approachability.
