Thai Square Trafalgar Square Christmas Menu Review 2025

November 12, 2025

A Festive Thai Feast in the Heart of London

Thai Square Christmas menu

One of the many good things about my job (I’m actually struggling to find many negatives) is that I get invited to some cool events, so when the opportunity came to try out the Christmas menu at Thai Square in Trafalgar Square, it was an invitation I gratefully accepted.

The tough task I accepted was to road-test Thai Square’s 4-course Jubilee Christmas feast. The menu is available from 15th November until Christmas, and the 4-course option is priced at £46 per person. I also had the pleasure of enjoying the Christmas lights being switched on at this iconic restaurant.

The Setting: Perfect for Christmas Parties

On entering the restaurant, we were shown upstairs to meet with the other guests for the celebration. It might have been early November, but seeing the long dining table dressed with festive table decorations, it was so Christmassy. Our table seated around twenty people, making it ideal for large Christmas parties.

The Menu: A Thai-Inspired Christmas Journey

If you’re thinking of booking your Christmas party at Thai Square, here’s a quick overview of our meal and what you can expect from their festive offering.

Amuse-Bouche–Pre Starter

The meal started with an amuse-bouche of mini spicy vegetable tarts – a great way to get the party started, along with a pre-dinner cocktail.

Starters

For starters, we both chose the Thai Platter, which contained vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, Thai dumplings, butterfly prawns, and corn cakes. A perfect classic selection of Thai starters that showcased the restaurant’s authentic approach.

Soup Course

The soup course was another Thai favourite, balancing the four cornerstones of Thai cuisine: spicy, sour, sweet, and salty. The Shimeji Mushroom in Coconut Soup featured galangal, lemongrass, lime leaves, and roasted chillies – a warming, aromatic delight.

In terms of choice, the mains presented more of an issue, as there were ten options to choose from. After much debate, I went for the Signature Duck: roasted duck leg with a three-flavoured sauce, grilled pineapple, and chilli. My guest opted for the Sweet and Sour Sea Bass – battered fillets with pineapple, cherry tomatoes, onion, and bell pepper in home-made sweet and sour sauce.

We were delighted with our choices. From speaking to other guests who ordered different dishes, everyone seemed very pleased as well. Being nosy, I particularly liked the look of the Lamb Shank, Tamarind Prawns, and the Chicken Caramel. All dishes were served with jasmine rice, and there was an option to order side vegetable dishes as well.

Dessert

Pearly Coconut Gelato and Toasted Coconut Flakes, pretty dessert

The dessert choice was a festive bowl of joy, described as Pearly Coconut Gelato and Toasted Coconut Flakes – a light, refreshing end to a rich meal.

Wine Pairing: Thai Wines Impress

Throughout the meal, we were introduced to Thai wine: a very palatable Shiraz red and a Colombard white wine. I actually had a Thai wine on a trip to Bangkok earlier in the year. There is some good wine coming out of the Far East, and as a wine lover, it is so good to see.

Entertainment and Atmosphere

After our meal, it was time to enjoy some traditional Thai dancing and, of course, the switching on of the Thai Square Christmas lights. It was clear that we all had a great time, and the team at Thai Square did everything to make sure we caught the festive spirit early.

The Verdict: Christmas Party Perfection

Choosing a restaurant for a Christmas party can be daunting. We have all been to restaurants that make you feel as if you are on a conveyor belt service, or where the food is secondary. This was most definitely not the case at Thai Square. From our experience, they know how to host a party.

If you’re looking for an alternative to traditional Christmas dining, Thai Square’s Jubilee Christmas Menu offers authentic Thai cuisine with festive flair. The generous portions, diverse menu options, and party atmosphere make it an excellent choice for both corporate events and family gatherings.
